1. Nature of Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the "Yoho Funds Passport" (Smart Escrow & Payment Gateway Service) provided by Yoho Student Services Limited. By using our platform, you agree to utilize our secure payment gateway and funds custody infrastructure to facilitate your tenancy transactions. This is not a traditional Guarantor Agreement. We act as an independent financial technology intermediary ensuring the secure routing and conditional release of funds between you (the Tenant) and the Landlord/Agency.

2. Definitions of Payments

For clarity, all financial transactions processed through the Yoho Funds Passport are categorized as follows:

Platform/Channel Fee: A one-time, non-refundable service fee (e.g., £199, £299, or £499) charged by us for providing the escrow infrastructure, AML/KYC verification, and ongoing transaction monitoring. (Note: This fee becomes strictly non-refundable only after the tenancy is successfully secured; it is 100% refundable if the tenancy fails prior to execution).
Escrow Funds (Advance Rent): The primary funds remitted by you, representing advance rental payments. These funds are not held as corporate assets of Yoho Student Services Limited. They are safeguarded in FCA-regulated Client Money/Safeguarding Accounts via our authorized financial partners, and are systematically drip-fed to the Landlord strictly in accordance with the executed Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreement.

3. Service Operator & Financial Partners

Technology, data processing, and user interface operations are managed by Yoho Student Services Limited (UK Company No. 16867100). The underlying financial transactions, virtual IBAN issuance, and safeguarding of Escrow Funds are executed by our fully regulated third-party electronic money institutions (e.g., IF, Airwallex) operating under the oversight of the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). By using the service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy & KYC Policy, and the respective terms of our financial partners.
