Refund Policy
Last updated: 02/04/2026
1. General Principles (The Yoho "Clean Exit" Guarantee)
At Yoho Student Services Limited, we provide the Yoho Funds Passport as a secure financial gateway. Our core principle is absolute transparency regarding your funds. All refunds are processed back to the original source account (Original Payment Method) in compliance with UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
2. Escrow Funds (Advance Rent) Refunds
The Escrow Funds you remit to our safeguarded accounts represent your advance rent.
- Before AST Signing (State 0): If your tenancy falls through before the Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) is signed (e.g., due to visa rejection, CAS delays, or property mismatch), 100% of your Escrow Funds will be refunded unconditionally.
- End of Tenancy (State 3): Upon the lawful termination of your AST or clean expiry of a valid legal notice, any remaining Escrow Funds that have not been drip-fed to the Landlord will be unlocked and refunded to you with zero withdrawal friction.
3. Platform/Channel Fee Refunds
The one-time Platform Fee (e.g., £199, £299, £499) covers the cost of AML/KYC verification, account provisioning, and safeguarding infrastructure.
- Fully Refundable: If your tenancy is not secured and you do not sign an AST, the Platform Fee is 100% fully refundable alongside your Escrow Funds.
- Non-Refundable: Once the AST is legally executed and your Escrow Funds transition into the "Active Drip-Feed" state (State 1), the Platform Fee is deemed fully earned for the infrastructure provided and becomes strictly non-refundable.
4. Processing Time
Eligible refunds are initiated by our automated system immediately upon verification of the cancellation or tenancy exit. While we process payouts via Faster Payments or SEPA instantly, standard banking clearance may take 1-3 business days depending on your recipient bank.
